The Story of the Flavor Nomad.

Food is my language of connection.

I am a “Flavor Nomad” born from two different worlds. My kitchen is a place where the deep traditions of my father’s Syrian family meet the vibrant, resilient spirit of my Latin American mother.

For my mother, who learned to cook Middle Eastern cuisine from my grandmother and her neighbors in Syria, recipes were never just instructions. They were a “riddle” to be solved with whatever was available on the table. She taught me that you don’t need fancy ingredients or a perfect kitchen to create a feast, you only need resourcefulness, care, and the heart to nourish those you love.

This is the spirit I bring to Flavor Nomads.

When I teach you how to master Middle Eastern spices like sumac and za’atar, I am sharing cherished, homemade classics that have been passed down through generations, recipes that have sustained my family through long winters and difficult times.

My mission is to help you move from a novice to a confident home cook, using fresh, wholesome ingredients to create meals that make you feel amazing. Whether you are cooking for a celebration or simply making do with what is in your pantry today, I am here to help you find the flavor in the journey.
